Charlamagne says that Kanye is his greatest interview

Charlamagne tha God recently stopped by VladTv’s offices to discuss the controversial and highly

entertaining interview with Kanye West. Besides his other ventures such as Power 105 and MTV2’s Guy

Code, Charlamagne is a student of the radio game and had his own thoughts.

The radio personality regards the West interview as his crown jewel. He views it as a plateau that

introduced him to different audiences other than hip hop. He referenced that Rolling Stone called him

“Hip Hop’s Howard Stern,” and also the Wendy Williams interview with Whitney Houston that sent her

into another stratosphere.

The MTV star also was dismissive of West’s knowledge of the radio game. Charlamagne said that while

he had no problem with West taking shots at him, he said that fellow radio personality, Sway Calloway

resume was impeccable. He referenced the various accomplishments of Calloway during his prestigious

career and said that Kanye attack on Calloway was “wack”.

Charlamagne reiterated that he was a “fan” of Kanye West’s early catalog of music but not a fan of his
