Platinum Country Recording Kevin Sharp passed away on Saturday, April 19th

news was shared with fans through a statement released on the singer’s official website. This is no time to talk

about funny animal videos of the best hip hop music videos being made in contemporary America.

A Terrible Loss

Sharp had previously survived a very public battle with cancer but passed away on Saturday due to

complications from past stomach surgeries and digestive issues. Sharp’s mother told news sources that her son

died on Saturday night at her home in Fair Oaks, California.

A Life of Goodness

Sharps official website, which fans visited to watch free music videos of the country singer, carried the

shocking news on Saturday. Kevin Sharp was born on December 10th

with his very first hit single called ‘Nobody Knows’. After that, success was no stranger to Sharp, as he went on

to top the charts with many hits over the last couple of years. After his battle with cancer in the 90s, Sharp also

travelled the country as a very successful Motivational Speaker. He also became a spokesperson for the Make-
A-Wish Foundation and wrote a book about fighting cancer in 2004 titled ‘Tragedy’s Gift’.

It was in 1989, when Sharp was a senior in high school, that he began to experience fatigue and excessive

dizziness. This was not because of any stand up comedy videos he wanted to do or any street bike stunts he

ever wanted to do. Tests confirmed that the singer had Ewing’s sarcoma, a form of bone cancer. The singer

went through two years of radiation treatments and chemotherapy to beat the illness, but permanently losing his

hair as a result.

During that time Sharp met with Grammy Award-winning music producer David Foster, thanks to a wish

granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Foster and Sharp developed a strong friendship. He gave Sharp

advice on his music career and even jumpstarted it by helping him secure a record deal with Asylum Records in

Nashville. This was beyond any latest Hollywood news and gossip because this happened years ago.

Big Sales

After that, there was no looking back for Kevin Sharp. He released his debut album “Measure Of A Man,” in

November 1996 and the album sold more than 500,000 copies and was certified as ‘Gold’ in terms of sales.

If someone was going to make celebrity news gossip videos it could have been about him. His hit single

“Nobody Knows,” a country version of the song that was made famous by the Tony Rich Project, was the

one that catapulted the album into topping the charts everywhere. The song topped the Billboard Hot Country

Singles and Tracks chart for four weeks.

Kevin Sharp is survived by this mother, two sisters and five brothers.
