Jagged Edge along with 112 were one of the biggest R&B groups of the late 90’s and early millennium. They came by the Breakfast Club to promote their single “Hope” and to tell the world where they’ve been for the last couple of years.
At the outset Jermaine Dupri admitted that his arrogance in leaving Sony delayed various group projects on So So Def including Jagged Edge, the group went on to talk about internal problems financial issues and their thoughts on current R&B
Jagged Edge admitted that like any group that has been together over 10 years they have had their problems but they never broke up. The also refuted any rumor that they went broke saying nobody ever went into bankruptcy but admitted that money does slow up when you don’t have an album out.
They also addressed rumors that they had beef with other R&B groups of their era. They cited that they go on tour with most of their contemporaries and even though they have had minor fracas’s such as with Sisqo of Dru Hill, they maintained relationships with other groups.
They also said that only one of the group who made the song “Let’s Get Married” is actually bethrothed.
